The 2010 cdi has 54 hp and over 40% more torque than the US gasoline engine. Acceleration from 0-62 MPH is now roughly under 17 seconds, which isn't spectacular, but the fuel economy is unbeatable.

Good news: the 2010 fortwo cdi will have 54 HP and do 0-60 MPH in about 16 seconds, while still retaining the fuel economy of its predecessor.

Bad news: we still won't get it.
