I'll never understand why people find humour in damaging or destroying other people's things.

My guess is that at the time they aren't thinking. They are drunk or just caught up in the "party event" that they don't stop to consider that they are committing a crime.

I'd love to see press coverage of these people being arrested for their crime and then the double whammy of being sued in civil court for the damages they created.

Me too, Bob. Even the term "pranksters" seems to imply that their actions are just some sort of practical joke. This is a serious crime that should be punished accordingly.

still not worth it for me, even if they did pay the WHOLE cost of replacing it. I would be out the car until it was resolved. I don't want it to happen to anyone, big hassle all the way around.

I wonder what the pranksters would say if I rolled up in a buldozer and smashed their car. laughing all the way. maybe not so cool to them.

Don't get me started! If my future smart gets tipped anywhere near my school there would be hell to pay. They'd better give me straight A's and find the sorry SO*s that did it and expell them.

Last year a Senior had a brand new red BMW SUV. Some pranksters broke the BMW Service antenna (sort of like OnStar), spray painted it green, keyed it end to end, wrote cuss words with keys, and used boat shrinkwrap to fully cover the car.

All of this in the school's parking lot and so far nobody has been caught in almost 12 months!

Tip my future smart and you'll have a very unhappy student Grant Community High School...

On this topic, I feel completely bad for the smart owner. Especially since people were laughing and taking pictures of it. No wonder why most teens aren't accepted as equals

Bunch of bloody morons. Really a fascinating mentality, these clowns.

I've soved the problem by sinking a 3 ft flairing concrete cylinder in my driveway to which I lock my car at the undercarriage with a very tightly strung chain.

Yeah, it's a pain, but I sleep at nights in my college town.
