EPA Numbers

The EPA numbers are finally up under Mercedes-Benz: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/findacar.htm .

Nothing we didn't already know, but along with the numbers is a way to tweak them to your own driving situation and fuel prices.

When I “customize” my EPA numbers, $1376 changes to $709 (8K miles, 75%-25% city-highway, fuel $3.10 per gal.)

I plugged my customized numbers above in on a Prius; it changed from $999 to $511.

Annual expense is really the bottom line, not number of gallons per year.

Using those figures, I will fill my tank three times a year...probably more the first year just driving for the fun of it. I think I can afford that - lol.

Okay, so smart is under M-B, and Maybach is separate?! I don't get it... I had been looking under M-B every now and then, but finally decided smart wouldn't be listed there. Who would have thought?
