This is exactly what I say when I try to explain the fortwo to people, but they never understand. Most people only listen to lies and rumors from the media about how easy it will roll over or how it can get crushed flat in a wreck.
My fiancee talked me into trading my Fiero in on "cash for clunkers" and I was reluctant. I was worried that all new cheap cars would feel displaced from the road.
My Fiero was very fun to drive because you could actually feel the road. Which is exactly what sold me on the smart. I drove basically every car under $17K and the fortwo was the only one for me. (and pretty much the only one I could fit in)
Thank you smart for making an awesomely fun car. (But not for crushing my Fiero.

)
p.s. I bought the Fiero in '02, it had 16K miles on it. When I gave it to smart to crush it had 109k. One of the guys at smart Buckhead (I think his name was Greg) went crazy when I pulled up. He said his dad used to own a Pontiac dealership and had a Fiero when he was little. They all went outside to check it out.

I had done some work to the exhaust so they all had fun with it, taking turns ripping around the side of the dealership. "Greg" couldn't believe I was bringing it to get crushed.
If you didn't already notice, I was very fond of that car. Hit me up if you wanna talk Fiero. Of course I love my smart too. Its a great car.
