Information from San Diego smart Dealer

My Questions:

I have some questions concerning the smart car, I am a smart insider and an early reservation holder. Who is the smart car point of contact for MBSD? When will you be contacting the early reservationist from the smart insiders about their cars? How many reservations do you have for the smart? When do you expect you dealership to open?

I will be the director of the smart center San Diego so you can always contact me with questions.

We will start contacting customers as soon as this information is released to us (some time in the second half of December 2007).

We have over 1,000 reservations for our location and we are planning to open on January 2, 2008.

Thanks for sharing this Gene. I was curious myself on how many smart reservations the SD dealer has. Also curious to see how many smarts they will deliver during the first quarter of 08.

That is going to be one busy smart center. 1000 reservations means about 80+ deliveries a month if they don't drop out. That's about twice the run rate my Beverly Hills Mercedes is predicting, but we have four dealers in LA, and Orange Counties.

Based on that, I guess I will get mine around April/May or 2nd half.
