List of smart car dealers

Mercedes of Palm Beach is located at 4000 Okeechobee in West Palm Beach. They are building a smart center for mid 2008 completion and will devote part of their present showroom to smarts. This confirmed by Brian their GM.

It's been a little while and I went by the MB of San Diego dealer again ... they're still under construction for their Smart showroom ... they've got it all wrapped up so you can't see anything. I took a picture but honestly it's not worth posting ...
I'll go by again next week to see how it's coming along. I'll nose-in and ask around about the National Distributer thing again and see if I can get better information too. Stay tuned!

MB is not the importer or marketing arm in USA for Smart-- PAG is

Pensky Auto Group (PAG) bought out Classic Auto of Round Rock this past summer and is 100% controlling owner

The new Smart Center is being built across I35 (west side) just south of the Salt-Grass restaurant

When I could determine them, I've added links to the list of dealers which begin this thread. You'll notice that in most cases there's no mention of the smart car on the link. The Mercedes dealers will probably add a link from their home site. Smart centers will have their own separate sites, as will those who are not Mercedes dealers. Or at least that's one way it could happen. What do I know?

The fact that they are OK with hiring students would lead me to believe that it is not a commission oriented position, but more of a consultative sales approach.

The only "selling" they will need to polish up on will be the upsell to a longer warranty period. ;)

Well, it was a lovely day here in the LV so I hopped on the scooter and rode over to the Towbin Auto Group dealership across town. A nice man in a suit confirmed that yes, they would be the distributor of the Smart Car in Las Vegas. Not surprisingly, he didn't know any details and they hadn't singled out a sales rep yet. He did seem to know about the reservation system though and when I mentioned that I had reserved within the first four days last spring he agreed that I should be a happy camper soon after the first of the year.

There was no dedicated building/showroom. The Smarties will be in good company though as this is also the Bentley and Rolls Royce dealership here. A lot of expensive metal on the lot.
