I'm 99% sure that Loeber Motors will be the dealer for Chicago. They said that an official list should come out by November that lists all the dealers. For now, though, you can call and ask about them.

News from the tour this weekend - Jackie Cooper is still not confirmed according to the tour folks, but most likely. Rumor has it that they are starting construction on the smart car showroom next week, though.;)

Hey cains10, I drove to the Tulsa tour on Saturday but did not get a chance to ask about the dealer for the area. I was wondering who would be the dealer in Tulsa. I don't know if there will be one closer to me (LR, AR) than Tulsa or not. I had heard some time back of a possible dealer in Memphis, TN, but I don't know if that will ever come about or not. How did you like the test drive? I liked it even though it was around the block through the housing area.

In all my wanderings, I have not seen a list with any Ohio dealerships listed. I know they had the test drive stops in at least two different Ohio cities, so I'm sure there must be some dealerships happening in that state. Anybody got any information?

It may be that "Landers" in Benton, AR may be selected as a dealer. Another member sent me a pm that they are owned by Penske Automotive Group. I called them and the receptionist knew all about the Smart and they were just waiting to see if they would be selected as one of the dealers. She said that they had applied for one. "Landers" is a huge dealership in Arkansas. I believe they may even have a dealership or two outside of Arkansas as well.

Read in the Dallas Morning News that Park Place Mercedes is the unconfirmed dealership in the Dallas area.
