The Renault Twingo is a great little car. This should be good. The forfour and the Mitsubishi Colt were built on the same platform but you'd have never known it by looking at them. Now if they can do another roadster, I will be v interested.

The part that concerns me is the "lightly modified" bit. That makes me think change the front/rear bumpers/lights a little, tweak the interior, and slap a smart logo on it. Nothing against the Renault, but smart would have to make some substantial changes to make the Twingo a real smart. Of course, it's all just speculation right now.
