MSRP

The MSRP remains the same 'till the end of the year. At least as far as smartville is concerned.
Will it be the same in the US? Not sure. But why would PAG and/or smartUSA not adopt the same policy. Especially if one considers the current difficulties for credit.

BTW: as planned, production of '09 is starting tomorrow in Hambach.

Thanks for the Info. I am guessing that I should be getting my 09 by Dec, maybe as Xmas present. Hope this credit stuff works itself out.

Cheers.

Is that the "calendar" year OR production year?

Dave Schembri told me some time ago that smart USA's plan and goal was to hold the MSRPs through 2009. Obviously there is a great deal of economic uncertainty and various economic pressures so we will have to wait for an official announcement but keeping them unchanged has been the plan if reality allows.

Well, smart USA has finally made a decision. The base price of a 2009 Passion has gone up $400. The waiting game is over. If you have configured a 2009 and you will have a confirmation e-mail. In the e-mail is a link that takes you to your confirmation. On the confirmation it will show that the base price has increased by $400. Hope everyone can follow that.

My configuration (ordered aug 07 #1317) only shows a addition of $645 for destination charge. I must be a 09 because it shows the fuel cap gauge and net door pocket included. All other prices were the same. Portland SC said that I should get it around Thanksgiving. (NOTE I just checked it again and it changed back to the old one without the fuel cap gauge and net door pocket. I don't what to expect now.
