New 2.0 software for Area451 cruise

As one of the beta testers, I can tell you that the pedal maps are great fun. However, Area451 is still working on "tweaking" the cruise control to make it as good as, or better than the original.

Sounds like kind of a PITA if you don't have a SG, or have to remove the module and send it in for replacement or remap. I'm surely not going to remove the rear interior panel every time I want to change pedal maps!

Too bad they aren't selectable from the stalk!

One could leave the rear interior panel off while experimenting with the mapping.

Heck, John if they're there, I want to be able to change them at will! This week I'm driving up 101 to Pelican, week after that I'm going down I-5 to California. Stalk selectable!!

Rotate the stalk through the 12 selections? Wouldn't want to wire it up though!

DR... the unit is easily accessed thru the cover where you go to remove the rear light bulbs... takes 15 seconds....

And it's not like you'll be changing it every day... you'll probably find the setting you like and leave it. There are too many options for the stalk. Also, to replace the stalk would probably add quite a bit to the price... which everyone will already think is too high...

451 is trying to make a great product better.... IMO they've added a better pedal map/sprint boost feature than the MDC... and yes I've driven both. It has more options and can be better setup for more personalized use.

Yes the program needs tweaking... us beta's have only had it for a week now... and the changes that need to be made are small.

Sounds like it could be fun to play with. I already have the Scangauge, so that should make it easier.

Don't misunderstand me guys, I love my Area 451 CC. It's just that I wouldn't get excited about changing the pedal mapping if it meant popping that rear cover and fooling with some DIP switches.
