New disclaimer on DDE

So apparently word has hit Smartusa that a lot of people are pissed. I just went to get my date for the thread that has been stickied, and I saw this as well:
Quote:
It is important to note that the DDE does not reflect any potential changes in vehicle production, distribution and Reservation Holder cancellations. Any of these factors could change your estimated delivery date. Please continue to check the DDE from time to time as information is updated on a continuous basis.
Personally, I think everyone needs to calm down and not be so irrational. Give it a few days to see where this thing goes and if we will get any updates on it. Like I have said before, there is nothing to say that we won't be following the 90-120 day trend that we have had so far.

There might be a minor tidal wave back at Smart reservations (like people dropping off the list all at once today). Be interesting to see the first person who gets a new date.

I was told that smart USA recieved in excess of 400 phone calls immediatly after the DDE went up on the web site leading to the disclaimer now posted.

Like I said, give it time.

I'm a horribly impatient person - this is a wonderful training exercise for me. Faith manages - I'm going to sit back for the ride and see what happens.

Like I have said before, I think we are all going to be beating their estimates.

I'll bet Smart had a ton of people drop off the reservation list today and ask for their $99 back. Anybody who really wants a car and hasn't configured yet is better off orphan hunting based on the wait times.

If a "ton" of people dropped off, it may be better to hold on to your reservation as a "ton" of the impatient leaving the line many mean your car will come quicker.

The believers really make me laugh. C'mon gentlepeople, does it make ANY SENSE to you that a highly technological operation like IB and PAG would publish such a POS calculator after months of sucking you in with promises of assuaging your angst with actual information?

OK, I've had my say, now do your spins.

I guess it all depends on the data smart USA is being fed from France/Germany on how many cars they expect to be made for the USA market. If they decide to make more cars, then the estimates on delivery will get earlier.

Is your problem with the workings of the estimator, or do you have a problem with smart USA's estimation of the the demand?
