New smart 'highstyle' model, nice interior

Check out that interior and paint color. Sharp! But, I'm sure we'll never see it...

I would love to have the golf cart "auto kill" feature, wonder if it can be shipped from Europe to us?

It's the standard EU mhd drivetrain - not coming to the USA.

I realize that but could it be purchased as an aftermarket or service part? Probably little more than a software program from the electronic throttle

There's actually a good bit to it - beefed up alternator/starter and some electronics to manage the whole thing which changes modes depending on driving conditions to minimize wear/tear on drive train components.

Nice. It sort of reminds me of John_H's custom colour.

As for the mhd drivetrain making its way to the US, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Schembri is reconsidering it. As more mini and micro cars begin to show up with better and better fuel economy, the fortwo is going to need every advantage it can get. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the cdi became an option too, especially considering MB's new BlueTec offerings and the seemingly renewed interest in diesels.

Err, I thought we were getting MHD models starting in October, with the 2010 models?

I was going to comment about the paint color until I noticed it was "chocolate brown." There was also a "Ruby Red" around 2005 that's similar. Mine is more purple than brown or red but they all seem pretty close at first glance.

Wouldn't you think that a 'highstyle' should at least have FOGLAMPS?

Funny, I read the description of the interior: 'matte silver trimmed interior parts' and 'Leather covered steering wheel and shift knob...' uh, don't we already HAVE that stuff?

I agree on the fog lamps, didn't notice that!

The combination of fabric and stitched leather with the red trim and the fact that it's beige/stone instead of black looks more upscale than the monotone black in our smarts. But, that's just me...
