Questions I Asked:
1. Will you have smarts on the lot in January for the opening?
2. This is concerning the reservations that you have, in January will I be able to go to the dealer and determine how many other reservation holders for San Diego are in front of me? And at what date should I expect to get my car?
3. Do you have a link or a PDF of a owner’s manual for the smart passion so we reservation holders can have something to look at while waiting for our cars?
Dealers Response:
We will be opening in January. If it will be exactly January 2nd I am not 100% sure. It may be closer to mid-January, but it will definitely be in January.
I was informed today that our first shipment of cars will be released from the port on January 15 with a strong possibility of this date being moved up to Thursday, January 10. I am sorry that I cannot give you any more detailed information at this time. This is all I know at this point….
Very shortly, we will be able to go into the system and look up your reservation and how many other people are in front of you. This should happen within the next two weeks (my personal guess).
I am not aware of an owner’s manual in pdf format at this time but if I get my hands on one I will definitely forward you a copy….
All I can tell you is that the waiting will very very soon be over and I am just as excited as you are to see the smart cars here in San Diego!!!!
