Orange County Dealer Update - Laguna Niguel

Swung by last night. The brown butcher paper is off the windows, the paripet is finished black, on a predominately glass building. The furniture is in, the manikin is in place, and this is a tiny building (for a tiny car). Word from a MB sales rep, would not say who is responsible for the smart franchise there, is it will open Jan 3rd. I stopped asking questions when he said there are 6000 preordered......heck training is this week, I'll have a Merry Christmas and return next year.

My humble advice to all is to stay away from regular sales people at dealerships and talk only to an actual "smart Specialist" of the person they report to.

Smart center Laguna Niguel of calif called today saying that our Passion Coup would be in around 30 from Today ! Woopie we have been waiting to hear about it. Can hardly wait.

Congratulations!!!! Will your Passion Coupe will be in around 30 (Minutes, Days, In a group of 30 cars to be delivered???) You are the first early adopter to check in here from the Laguna Niguel Dealer. Where do you hail from?

Within 30 days.I called dealer back and ask if it could be in port of long beach.She said she couldn't say. Over on Club Smart Car message board,Mike T.posted on Dec.21 a VIN list of cars due in Jan.7th to baltimore 90% of the cars were built after mine.I'm a late in the day 1173.-micmou

Got the call like you and she told me 30 days but I read from another thread that Beverly Hills already has delivery. Could be Laguna is stalling until they have their ducks in a row? I'm way over here in Redondo Beach so I can't drive by. Has anyone been to the location recently?

I don't understand thier distribution, in so. cal. West Covina would have been more convenient for me.Laguna is 10 plus miles further.Skyzdlimit wouldn't Beverly Hills been alot closer for you?

i'm positive that they are allocating cars to all of the dealers to even out the onslaught.

I pass it daily, there is not a single car there as of yet, I read else where that the paperwork is done, I am surprised that You in LA County are being assigned to OC, guess LA has way more early reservationists.
