i've read that confirmations are only being sent a few hundred at a time....can anyone confirm that?
This seems to be the case - only one batch of emails were sent, out of who knows how many people registered in the first day (thousands?). The small initial mailing is thought to be an initial test of the new site's software. (makes sense to me - might as well get all the bugs out before opening it up to 1000's) Presumably, the numbers will pick up soon!

Lewis, based on the timing of your reservation, I can now see why you expressed your suspicions in the other thread (Smart Car Confirmations--300 only). You mught want to confirm that your reservation was made on March 19, as that appears to be the actual first day that reservations were open.
It seems that all of the early "dealerships" are in the eastern US. Any indication of where the lucky 300 live? Is there a geographic correlation? I could see the logic of sending the first boatload to a limited geographic region rather than sending one or two cars to each of the new dealerships.
