I think most people here agree that the story was misleading at best.

The printed version of the article is now gone, hopefully soon to be recycled into the printed version of a real newspaper. The online version lives on, but so does threads like this pointing out the problems with the article.

STOP THE PRESSES EVERYONE!!!!

Ford, GM, and all the other car companies are seeing their overpriced gas hog SUVs flying off the lot while the Smart Car just sits there... Oh wait, we can't lie about that, so let's distort the truth and only talk about the Smart Car. By presenting the information out of context, we can make it sound bad for the Smart Car and ignore the fact that the other car companies are doing worse. That way, this reporter can vent his dislike for the Smart Car by reporting the most negative news he can muster....

It burns me up when reporters for the major news media present misleading information out of context, just to fill us with their twisted views of the world. Whatever happened to journalism integrity and honesty?

While it's true that smart center Indianapolis had several on their lot a couple weeks ago, the number IS dwindling. For instance, SCI delivered THREE smarts on Friday. THEY seem to be doing just fine!
