If I get a tax break for having a smart I'll donate it to a charity... tax breaks are part of the problem with this country... give me, give me, give me. Where does the money come from because you know they won't stop spending.

personally i think part of the problem is that the gov't steals nearly 50% of what i am able to earn.

these tax breaks for Hybrids and such are all out of wack, as far as i'm concerned.

if the government was serious about getting Hybrids on the road, they wouldn't discontinue the tax breaks after the first couple years of production but instead CONTINUE THEM.

for instance, any of us wanting to buy a Prius TODAY (God forbid...j/k!!) will get NO TAX BREAK.

if they would help out EVERYONE, more people would get on board and buy......DUH!!!!

Exactly, but if they give people a tax break or credit for a car then someone ends up paying more income tax... most likely you and I.

It wasn't too long ago that the gummint was giving big tax breaks to anyone with a vague business excuse to buy big pickups and SUVs. Someone I knew got the biggest subsidized SUV he could find because his wife ran a small computer consultancy out of a home office.

I checked with Pa Sales Tax office - they offer no breaks!

That would be awesome to see if we get a little something - something back.

That tax relief check just didn't do it for me.

Us smarties want more!!!

Tasx breaks are just that, an adjustment to the tax YOU would regularly pay come tax time. That limits, although very small, the amount of money the GOV has to spend. I say, Bring on the tax breaks!!

Allow me to introduce you to a concept known as "deficit spending", you see if you had a printer in your garage and you could just print up some $100's whenever you wanted, then there is no limit to what you can spend.
The current Gov't seems to think that this is a viable long term process.......
