Reservation time to Configuration time to Delivery time

what is 1173 and 1239. I make a reservation a year ago and my last letter said I should get my car by year end....that is too long.

those numbers are the last four of your Reservation number.They (roughly) indicate the order of your reservation (reservation = your $99 transaction).
For example, I reserved in late Oct 2007, and my Reservation ends with 1391.

Well I've decided to make a game of it by trying to guess when I'll get the 30 day notice and delivery date. So here goes.
My # is 1237
I configeration date is Feb 3

I think I will get the 30 day letter on May 5th
I think I will recive my smart on June 9th

I wonder what else I can do to past the time

But, I hope your dream comes true. I think late fall/winter is more realistic...

I think his estimate is pretty accurate. All the dealers are saying 90 to 120 days from config to delivery, so he is pretty close to target. Late fall would be 7 months. Smart is in business to sell cars and I think things will only speed up a bit. If he didnt get his car until winter, then we would not see any 1300 deliveries this year, and as I said Smart came to the U.S. to sell cars. Just my opinion...... How do the rest of you feel??

I have always had the "vibe" that I will get my car in July, unless I get a call for an orphan or aquire one otherwise.

This is just my general feeling.

I've always wanted mine before our summer party on 5th of July. But for some reason I am thinking last week of Aug or first week of Sept. Guess now I'll just be lucky if I have it by my birthday in Nov.

My res number is 1379 and I was informed by smartusa this weekend that I cannot expect to confirm/configure until late summer with estimated delivery of late 2008. I reserved Oct. 10 2007.

does that mean that your Smart will be a 2009?
