Reservation time to Configuration time to Delivery time

Just got my notice that the Rally Red passion will be shipped within the next 90 days. Well there is light at the end of the tunnel !!! Need to sell the Yellow one!!

dealer is saying 90 to 120 days after configure.

I reserved my Smart last August/September and did my Config at the middle of January.

At first it said I would receive it from April-June but checking yesterday I see it is now listed as arriving Feb/April. A pleasant surprise.

Now I need to get my Subaru ready to sell.

Don't know about my 'number'. Maybe it is on my reservation

Well, yea. Looks like your within your 90 day window!

Your day should fall about a month from the 1st day on the DDE.

Mine was 12/24-3/24 and mine was scheduled to arrive on 1/24.

But it could change. It was delivered un expectantly the monday before.

12/11/08 I was told I'd get my car within the next 90 days. Um... that would have been a week ago and the dealer says no sign of it shipping yet..

Sigh.

Yeah, there are a lot of people here on the list. Hopefully with the Fort Worth dealership opening up soon that'll ease up some.

And maybe it's because I ordered a cabrio. Don't know.

I'm in NW Dallas - almost FB. My DDE now shows 3/2/09 to 5/31/09. I guess it's not so terribly awful since I'll be coming into some money before too long and it'll let me pay cash for my baby.

I've even apparently got a couple of nibbles for the Grannymobile when I'm ready go get rid of it.

Some of my drive-thru customers at my Sbux keep asking me when I'll get the Ladybug. I just tell them to look for her in the parking lot.

I am confused because I was notified of my 90 day window 01/30/09. The DDE listed ETA after the 30th was 03/13/09-06/11/09 then went to 03/15/09-06/13/09. In the last few days it changed twice and is back to 03/11/09-06/09/09.

If I go by the notification date I should be a few weeks into the 90 day window. If I go by the DDE I haven't even started the 90 day window. What goes?

Well, it looks like a 50/50. Either the DDE is about to do a major change or the Dealership is off.

From my experience and those here, most likely your Dealership has bad info. My DDE always changed 1ST before the dealer called to tell me anything. In fact, most of the time, I called them to let them know something was going on. And more than one person here was told that, while their DDE said otherwise, their car was on the truck, only to arrive and be turned away because of bad info.

Some dealerships can tell you the date it was made, and if you are truly within 90 days, they should have a vin (again, because it has been made by the time you get the call, or close to it.) so I would ask for both of those. Either way, start looking for finance options. Its almost here....
