From my experience and those here, most likely your Dealership has bad info. My DDE always changed 1ST before the dealer called to tell me anything. In fact, most of the time, I called them to let them know something was going on. And more than one person here was told that, while their DDE said otherwise, their car was on the truck, only to arrive and be turned away because of bad info.

Some dealerships can tell you the date it was made, and if you are truly within 90 days, they should have a vin (again, because it has been made by the time you get the call, or close to it.) so I would ask for both of those. Either way, start looking for finance options. Its almost here....

What's up with the DDE with specific date????? I have DDE of Feburary 2009 to April 2009 which is a little confusing as to why you guys have specific day range

Have you configured? If not, when you do it will change. If so, it will probablly move out... And change...

Configured almost two months ago on 12/26/08 last year.

Mine has been very fast so far. Reserved Christmas day, Configured in January, DDE now says April09 to June09. I could have my car from Reservation to driving in 4 months maybe. Not to bad after my wife waited 18 months for hers that we picked up in September.

Yea, I reserved May of 08, configured Jan 09, originally had the Aug - Oct delivery date, now stuck in the cannot configure mode of the estimator.....sigh.......

I got a call from the Smart dealer in Massachusetts to see if I had any questions about the car I ordered which is arriving in about two months. They told me that they have plenty of cars for sale at their dealership - so if I didn't want to wait they can find the model/color I want. I guess there must be a lot of cancellations? Therefore so many orphans available. I cancelled my order while I was on the phone - one more orphan.
I already have a smart that I got in October and only have 1200 miles so far. I was going to get the 2nd one for my son who's in college, but decided it won't work for him since he really needs something good in the snow.

Waited 1 year and 7 months, and still no DD, canceled order went down to the dealer and what do ya know there's one sitting there exactly like I ordered..... Bought it and took it home that day ; the reservation program is a bunch crap

It wasn't crap until the economy tanked and people didn't follow through with their reservations. I waited 9 months before I got my car and my DDE on my reservation was 2/09-4/09 and ended up with car 2 months early. I canceled my reservation since I got my orphan.
