im a 1236 configed dec 21 im thinking late march and im about as far east in north carolina as one can get!hey just saw reg may 21 configed dec 21 ok lets say feb 21!!!!!!!or later?!?!?!?lol

Most likely April/May time frame. Just my guesstimate though.

Haven't gotten my Configuration email yet

I'm a 1239 and haven't gotten my email yet.....though I see that someone else here in SoCal got their's yesterday - and they reserved 4 hours after me!

I have a reservation number of 1188. I reserved April 3, confirmed on November 9. That's 8 months in between. My confirm e-mail said I should get it first HALF of 2008. I'm in AZ and I called yesterday to the dealership to see if I could get a more accurate time frame... silly me for thinking that. I was told that they only get a list of names to call when the car goes into production. I'm not on any list they have yet and was therefore my Smart isn't even in production. I would be really surprised if someone with a 1200 and over reservation number got their Smart in April. In fact, I'm pretty sure that my confirmation letter meant first half literally and I will get it in June. However, try think positive-interest rates are falling. If you need to get a car loan-you'll be paying less interest.

That's actually 7 months in between and pretty much the same as everyone else around that time frame. I estimate you may get it in April assuming about a 5 month wait from configuration day.

Yes, hopefully you'll get your configuration e-mail any day now. The longest I've found is about a 262 day wait to configure. You're at about 244 days right now so hopefully soon.

I'm thinking that the 1200-1300 groups may have a little bit less of a wait because the initial rush of reservations. Then as more info was made public #'s rose again, thus a longer wait time. But then I really don't have the numbers to back it up. I never heard of the smart until the very day I placed the $99. reservation. Sure glad I did

I reserved on 04/01. I configured on 11/9 and am an 1186. I am assigned (assuming as it's the closest and they say so as well) to Universal City in L.A.

Today I received an email stating:

Dear smart Enthusiast

You may contact us at 1.800.762.7887 for the procedure for adding and deleting options from your configuration.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please contact us via email or by phone at 1.800.smartusa.

Thank you for your interest in smart USA. You will be hearing from us soon!

I called as I was confused......I spoke with Jason and he was able to verify my reservation and configuration. I told him were they calling to see if I really really really wanted what I had ordered and he said no, he did not know why I got this. I said, well if I wanted to make a change (like delete the PS), would I go to the end of the line and he said no, it would delay your delivery by a month.

I will call this Michelle Fenner tomorrow. Who wants to bet I get a different answer?
