I think the article indicated that the warranty length was to keep the cost down. I have a piece of Canadian literature which states the warranty is 48 months and/or 80,000Kilometers.

Ditto! 3/36 AIN'T much better, either...especially if you have to BUY it!. If the above is true..SmartBob will revert to just Bob.
Having to compete against a Kia's 10/100k warranty in the same price range, I can't imagine they'll try anything less than a 4/48k. If they do, my old plates will become redundant.
