I rented an Aztek once while out of town. It wasn't that bad to drive, but I couldn't bear to ever have something that ugly sitting in my driveway.

When I read this to my wife, she replied "they've never rode with you when you are flying down the road passing trucks ans suv's" what she was implying was that my smart is not only cute, fun to drive, but very capable of performing on the highway as well as any other cars out there. This morning when we were passed by a semi ( I was running about 65) she commented that she didn't notice the truck was passing us until she saw the back of it. I wasn't blown around or off the road as some have stated in their poor reviews. I believe a lot of the stories/reviews that are negative are reprints from early smarts, In 10 years we've come a long way. 451's are not to be compared to the original smart.

How moronic.

Since when did this number become "unimpressive"? I don't think you need all the fingers on one hand to count the vehicles that can beat it.

And what passenger space does anyone on this forum recognize has been "sacrificed?"

Two inches of elbow room if you have a large driver and passenger, perhaps? That's all I can think of.

These journalists... I am a bulldog owner. Would you consider bulldog "unimpressive"? I tell him and "you won't be smiling anymore"...(-: Forget yournalists. They don´t have to love my car.

This article has been brought up in 2 other threads now, and all within short time of each other.

Worst cars of the 2000s...

smarts have a roll over problem?

And because I don't want to repeat myself (headache), I'll just use my other post...

WT*! Forgive my language. Personally I try to avoid anything Yahoo related. Everyone on Yahoo Answers don't even research their answers and will spam it up with false information just to gain useless points. The only thing I like about Yahoo is my mail service, and that could use improvement.

Yahoo is a complete biased community that offers nothing useful but decent online mail.

Me mad, me very mad. Someone might receive a nice e-mail about this bull...

Not to mention that it's powered by cars.com, the worst car reviewing group on Earth...

We don't have a problem with small cars in general (we're big fans of the Mini Cooper), just with ones that don't deliver on the benefits of going small. The pint-sized ForTwo sacrifices a lot of passenger space for a relatively unimpressive 41 mpg on the highway, has an SUV-like propensity to roll over, and is equipped with an aggravating sequential manual transmission. Sure, the ForTwo looks cute, but after you drive it you won't be smiling anymore.

YouTube - 2009 Smart ForTwo Passion Video Review

Please don't tempt me to blow off again on cars.com, I already did on their YouTube account.

They deleted my first comment which clearly contradicted everything negative the man had said...with facts and web sites to prove (on YT type web sites like this: w w w . smartcarofamerica . c o m)

Sorry, I've got a nice sized headache to lose...

And Yahoo Autos and cars.com don't make anything easier.

Why do people have to bad-mouth things they know little of? The smart brings such humor, laughter, and mirth into peoples lives. Is that bad? Besides providing comfortable, reliable, safe, cheap transportation. And did I say fun transport? Oh, and the lowest CO2 emissions. Grrrrrrr... Are they just mouthing off to stir up readership? More entertainment, than fact based reporting. Where do we see that regularly? I hope their imbecilic (sorry: editorial comment) behavior does not hurt smartie sales. Have been seeing more and more of them in my neighborhood recently. A good sign people don't pay much attention to their blathering. End of rant.....
