Smart blacked out on Detroit TV?

Chanel 7 (ABC) ran local coverage of the "Woodward Ave Dream Cruise." I watched a couple of segments and saw or heard nothing Smart related. Yet, over 60 Smarts were there and corp had the "Smart Stack" displayed right on Woodward Ave.

Did I just miss seeing them?

smartusa probably paid them to omit the smarts. Hard enough keeping up with existing demand, without creating more.

I think this is considered just a new car, which it is, and there was a blurb in the paper here asking that only "classic" and "custom" cars join the cruise to cut down on crowding because it just gets bigger every year. I have a friend who lives just off Woodward who absolutely HATES the darn thing. Her front lawn has become a public bathroom..eeewwwww!!

I took my 01 PT Cruiser to Woodward the first year it was out and they had a lot of special events just for the Cruiser. All PTs were invited to drive in the cruise.
