Smart Car Confirmations-- 300 only

Don't know about Lewis, but this guy's reservation date is March 20th. So I will be anxiously checking my emails for the next wave of who knows how many reservation confirmations that may come. It looks like patience will be the name of the game with this..... Our local dealership that sponsored the StreetSmart Tour on July 26th has purchased the property adjoining their large MB, BMW, Honda dealership (formerly Clark Music) and I believe is awaiting final confirmation of becoming a Smart dealer before renovating this building that will become their *Smart Center* for sales and service. Perfect location, too! (3 miles from my home)The owner is an astute businessman and has been a successful auto dealer in this area for decades. One of few dealerships, with what I consider to be an excellent reputation, in this area.

Hi Ihoboy,
I'm located in Albany, NY. We had a pretty good turnout for the StreetSmart Tour.....a pretty steady flow of people all afternoon (a 12noon to 5pm showing) and it was HOT that day...hot for Albany anyway. I feel the HOT temperatures that day was a detriment to the performance of the Smart as the AC's were on full blast the whole time. Small engines and cars like that really take a hit with the AC on (5-7 HP) so that was about a 10% parasitic loss just for that. I fully realized that even before I drove the car.
I never heard about how many test drivers there were but there were enough...more than I expected from what I saw. One thing is for sure....I should be one of the first owners of the Smart around here. Sooooo many big pickups and SUV's everywhere..... and I'll be the rose among the thorns!!LOL

According to an earlier post, Lewis has not heard a word from Smart.

I also placed my reservation on the 19th but have not heard anything at all and I'm an Insider as well.

Jusy an FYI, I registered early morning on March 19th and received confirmation of such at 4:30pm on March 19th and have not received an invite as of yet.. I would be curious as to registration dates of those that have already received invites.
