smart center Knoxville visits Chattanooga

They gave out numbers for the test drives and I was number 50. I test drove the Euro Smart last fall in Knoxville as part of the tour. It was also advertised for two days in the local newspaper. I am still waiting for mine to arrive as an 1188 reservation holder. I guess they did it to stir up interest but considering the long waiting time for anyone wanting one, I guess I don't see the point, at least until they start getting more cars. It's a real wet blanket to get someone excited about the car only to be told they needed to reserve on the web page and get ready to wait 9-12 months. We also learned that the dealer they were at here in Chattanooga is owned by the same auto group that owns Mercedes/Smart of Knoxville.

Is MB/smart of Knoxville your dealer? If so you should check with them and smartusa. They are my dealer and I am a 1213 (04/28)
reservation holder, confirmed on 12/14. I received a call from Laura @ MB/Smart of Knoxville on Saturday telling me my smart had finished production and would be put on a boat this week to Jacksonville. She even gave me the last 6 of my VIN.

Yes, I got the call from Laura on Saturday March 1 but still no email from Smart. I have my VIN number but am unable to track it online. Their latest estimate is arrival at dealer around April 10-15.
