smart Parking Only! (and we mean it!)

Sustainable Asheville Condominium Features World's First Parking Structure Exclusively for smart(R) Vehicles - MSNBC Wire Services - msnbc.com

"The facility is taking "eco-friendly" to the next level with the world's first residential parking structure designed to exclusively house the environmentally-conscientious smart® fortwo vehicle. This is the first parking structure ever conceived that will only accommodate one make and model car and no other."

Until someone comes up with a true competitor to the smart.
Its not like we all haven't seen the Expidition parked in a Compact only spot before.

So the Condo comes with a smart?
I hope they have a comunal pick up for those needs as well.

I guess if you build for the smart you can claim your being green, but in fact someone misread their scale rule and built the place to small.

True. I wonder if there are physical limitations (height/width) that prevent other types of vehicle from entering the parking building?

Don't get me wrong, you know I love my smart. But.... If I could live in one of these "Ten extraordinary residencies available from the $2,000,000"... smart just might not be my drive of choice. And if it were, I might have something else that I'd rather keep garaged.

I looked at the website and in the floorplans you see that the parking is in the basement of the building. There is an elevator that takes the cars up and down. The elevator is smart sized, so anything bigger couldn't physically get in there. I'd imagine other parking options are available for other vehicles.
