In a day and age where a mere "A" grade is okay, and you need an "A+" to be considered for many things, I understand the sentiment of not gaining a (merely) "Good" grade due to the criteria. However, in this case, and when compared to so many other "experts" that have noted the smart's ability to excel in most every car-related category, then blow the car off for not being a Hummer, the IIHS test is an excellent indicator of what you are getting into with ANY car. And the fact that, in this particular test (and a number of others), the smart beat many other cars, in and out of its category, speaks volumes about this little car we all have come to love to drive.
So, pealing away self-imposed negatives about not gaining "glowing scores", we did well, and the article reveals that to anyone with a brain. I am glad for such a review...
