Smart Pure release date?

When can we expect to see Smart Pures at dealers? (I'd be orphan shopping...)

The Pure has been on the market since January. You can put down the $99 reservation or go to your dealer and get on the orphan list for it.
Let them know what you want is the Pure.

thanks! for some reason I thought that they were shipping the Passion first, then later in the year shipping the Pure...

and as I haven't seen any Pures for sale ...well...I was a tad confused

Since your in New York you will probably get one pretty quickly. Seems that New Yorkers get them fast.

I read somewhere that like 4% of reservations in the US are for the Pure.

My dealer has had 2 of them that I have seen - one in the showroom that was a black and white with no options at all, and a silver/silver orphan with the sole option being the panoramic roof... no A/C... with a glass roof in the swamp that is Maryland.

Mine (arriving in a week or so) is a Pure, Black/Black. Only option on it is A/C. Adding radio and wheels aftermarket. I already have a car loaded to the rim, so wanted a more minimalist experiest in my smart.

They're just a very low percentage of the cars ordered. There are over 30 fortwos on ebay right now, and not one of them is a Pure. You just have to tell them what you want.

I have a Pure....black on black. I like the no frills version....very little to go wrong. Pure orphans (like mine) seem to be easy to get as many want all the bells and whistles ....

For what it is worth, I heard the media state that 50% were Passions, 30% were Cabriolets, and 20% were Pures as far as the ordering has gone.

I got my Pure orphan in Michigan the day I test drove. Was loaded up with air, tinted windows, pinstriping and radio10 with speaker package so it was a little more than I needed but I jumped on it. Very happy! Also the panels had been swapped from yellow to red.
