Is there any news on getting a tax break for our smarts?

I know I saw the thread the other day... I read through pages and pages and even searched on "TAX" with no luck...

Someone said they saw something about Smart buyers possibly getting some sort of government tax break - sort of in line with the Prius or other hybrids...

any news on this?
