WKRG of Mobile, AL did an online article (may have aired also, not sure) on the smart. Kesshia Peyton was only able to track down two smart owners in town, and met me tonight coming out of a restaurant. While my friends were hugging the car and bouncing about how they loved it, Kesshia asked me a dozen questions or so. I wasn't interviewed on camera, but i made it clear to her that I love my new toy for a hundred reasons. I soon realized the impact of her story when I had to stop and answer questions for 10 different people on the way home. One mile. Three stops. 10 people. Oy. This is gonna be a long week.
Smart Car Easing Pain At The Pump - Alabama Mobile Gas Prices Mercedes
Her segment doesn't give any major pros/cons other than gas mileage, so naturally the comments are from the I-can-do-better-with-a-Geo crowd. I made sure to post that as an owner, the benefits go far beyond just MPG. And I emailed her separately to offer a direct contact for followup. It'll take more than 1-2 minutes to convince anyone to drive a smart; in that short time all you can expect is to introduce them and make them research it for themselves. I think Kesshia accomplished that.
