Today, a costumer came to swap his BMW 300 (Isetta) for a Smart (Mercedes).

He told me it really would be an upgrade:

BMW: 1 door, Smart: 2 doors
BMW: 2 vipers, Smart: 3 vipers
BMW: 3 wheels, Smart: 4 wheels
BMW: 4 speeds, Smart: 5 speeds

Good that he got a smart but I think he may regret giving up the Isetta. Do you know what will happen to it?

That may have been a mobility upgrade but they took a financial bath to do it.

I would have kept the Isetta. One could house both the Isetta and the Fortwo in the same one car garage.

I would use the Fortwo as the daily driver and the Isetta for special occasions.

there were already to interested buyers, who did not care if the car had three or four wheels, they only wnat an economic solution for the transport.

Mayby it seems expensive, but in Denmark cars pay a registration tax up to 180%, so the prices cant be compared. We just sold the another little car, Heinkel Trojan for 47.000 kr. For Denmarks price level, the BMW is not expensive at all, and it is really economic, you can go 100 km with less than 3 liters og petrol. It will be difficult to find a more modern car with such a low2 consumption.

Of course you may use our videos.

But may be this one is even more funny, Pia and Fie compare two BMW convertibles, the Isetta and the 325i, with a lot of Smarts in the background. Ok, admitted, it is in danish language, but the pictures talk, too...

I Just saw on old Movie yesterday, a Black and white with Peter Sellers, the location was London and the Bad guy drove and Isetta. He was using it to follow someone.
