custom smart cars in TV ads

Several months ago we were contacted by a company that wanted us to assist them with a making a custom smart for a TV ad campaign. The ads have recently launched and are pretty funny. Here are the links to the ads:

Nah they'll just probably give you bullet flu instead since they got caught doing that already.

A little note:
All of KGB's smarts are equipped with lambo doors.
All are pures with radio and A/C
There's a KGB smart sweeps going on at the site. It's nearly impossible to win as you can enter 10 times a day!!

We met the producers of the TV ad in our booth at the LA Auto show last year. They seen one of the custom smart cars with Vertical Doors we had on display, looked at each other and said something like "this would be great for the ad campaign".

Several months later we got a call with a request to do a complete Vertical Door conversion that could be completely reversed. The biggest challenge was that we had to get the smart done in no more than 2 hours! With 3 of us working (running around like crazy) we got it done in less than 2 hours. The took the car, shot the ads and then brought it back to us a couple of days later and we changed it back to stock (in less than two hours again).

From what we found out the car was borrowed or rented for the shoot and needed to be returned back somewhere every night prior to 6 PM.
