Odd. I'm not sure what the point is. But, if I had the money to do the turntable thing, I am sure I'd have made it a little bigger, less cramped. Even another foot or two diameter would be better. Oh, what is the point, BTW? LOL
I am suprised that you could miss the obvious restriction offered by the narrow lane leading up to the turnaround and this ability now to drive out without having to move both cars

Well, most people would've just turned more of the lawn into parking lot. But, with money to burn for the toy, I'd still say the diameter is too small.
As the owner of a fine little Smart car, I'm left perplexed:
Why would you think someone should have something larger than they need?
If the turntable fits the wheelbase of a car that fits in the garage, why make the turntable any larger? The novelty of the video is that two Smarts fit on the single-vehicle turntable. If they have a long SUV or pickup, the turntable might not fit the wheelbase but the vehicle might also not fit in the garage.
It is practical in that one can 'turn ones car around' in a some what narrow drive way and not have to back out of the drive way into busy traffic. In the scene it shows a garage. It makes it easier to make a right turn into and out of it. I think it is also cool.
