The IIHS has put the 2008 smart fortwo through its frontal offset crash test, and the video is on YouTube even though the IIHS hasn't released its results yet.
"A" post didn't deform. Only thing I noticed is dummy's head possibly hitting the door on the rebound. I also don't see a lot of cars bounce and spin around after these crash tests.
That was a pure, but the plastic roof should handle about the same as the clear plastic one. No problems there at all.

I believe Dick Cheney has put together a blue ribbon commission of oil executives, lobbyists, and scientificating experts to determine the best approach to repealing the laws of physics. Guantanamo Bay was suggested as a proper forum for such an undertaking. Cheney was told by a reporter that Sir Isaac Newton himself would be rolling in his grave if a bunch of neocon scientisticators repealed the laws of physics. Cheney's response was reportedly, "So?".
