I'm sorry, I must be missing something. What is the purpose of these doors. If its just looks, not my cup of tea.

If one has a lot money to use and do not mind spending it, it would be neat on a Fortwo. I have neither so it is a mute point for me.

The idea of lambo hinges is to save space when the doors are open, these open enough to get in and out of BEFORE you have to lift them. Therefore, for show only, no practical reason for fitting.

I'm glad you said it. I wanted to but did not want to be perceived as NEGATIVE and get banned from the site.
Quite frankly, the price is just too high, when you can buy a generic set locally for $500/ pr. For the same $1500 I could have them installed on my SLK and they look really nice. Then it is worth the price on a $60k car. But for a $14k (avg) car - it is just a personal taste that to me is not worth it. If the seller wants to consider a GROUP BUY price of $800/set for the first 10-20 people then I am sure many Smarties would take interest.
Just my .02

I agree, $1500 seems really expensive and yes I'm aware "It's high quality, etc" for a car that is sub $20k.

Yes, they are usable every day but as I said before they open wide enough to get out before they lift up so lifting them is just for show.

I disagree, you pay for ease of installation, cheap generic weld on kits are a nightmare to fit, if you weld them on wrong, tuff. Plus to return to standard hinges is then one hell of a task.
Lambo hinges don't get cheaper for cheaper cars, you are paying for the same hinges just with a different mounting plate.

Photo of the fit/hinge
Since these are BOLT on are there any pictures to show the hinges and how 'bolt' on they really are?
Cheers
