Yeah, and?
Even on a Lambo you have to push it to get it started, it isn't motorised as standard.
I like these hinges but I have 1 problem with them.
The original idea for these hinges was because the doors on a Lambo are very long so you couldn't open the doors very far if you were in a parking space, if you couldn't open them wide enough, you couldn't get out.
The problem here is, the fortwo doors are quite long but this kit allows the doors to open far too wide before lifting, if you can open the door wide enough to lift them, you don't need to lift them as the gap is sufficient to get out of the car.
I would much rather see these open a few inches before raising, not straight up but up and out to clear the bodywork.
This design is purely for show and doesn't increase the access to the car. For a show-piece, the price might be a touch high.
I'd still like to import them to the UK but the emails stopped after the 1st response.

Brilliant observation, suggestion and critique.

i might beg to differ on this. i think here in the USA we are so spoiled with driving monster size vehicles that most our parking spots here are huge, we do have some parking lots that have compact only spaces but i think in general these lambo doors would be ok.

What bit don't you agree with?
If you have big parking spots, you can open the doors fully on their standard hinges.
The idea of lambo hinges is to save space when the doors are open, these open enough to get in and out of BEFORE you have to lift them. Therefore, for show only, no practical reason for fitting.

i dont agree with thinking that their only for show when actually their quite useable for everyday, just a more custom / $$ look. people here in the USA do remarkable things to their cars, for however worthless they may seem and its all under the heading of custom/or show, just for everyday use (fun) and doesnt need to be practical.
