Very, very cool. Seems like something similar could be set up in North America. Thanks for posting!

The first guy was quite good, but when they swapped drivers the second guy really sucked, rubbish lines, going into corners way too fast and not coming out on the right line, or even on the track at some corners, had it sideways a couple of times as well, but it was interesting to watch.

A group of guys having fun with the smart cars, talented, NO... Fun to watch all that overdriving, the creative lines, and the course worker standing near the apex of a right hand corner!!!!
Let's keep in mind that these guys are racing smart cars, not DTM or F1 so talent is not expected. I would love to go embarrass my self with them!!
Other Youtube videos attached to the one you posted show much better driving, look at the one titled SMARTTROPHY CIRCUIRT DE CLASTRES

Does anyone remember the old Renault Le Car Cup Challenge from back in the late '70's early '80's? They were basically show room stock cars with just safety equipment required by the SCCA at the time. I can easily see a similar series done now using the 451. Someone should talk to the Sports Car Club of America to see how much interest there may be. I can remember seeing Renault fields of more than 50 cars back in the day. It would be a great advertising tool for Smart. Back then, you could buy the Le Car from the dealer and even get some sponser ship in the form of free safety equipment. Of course, the Le Car sold for a little less than 4K at the time.

Smart cup! I knew it exists!

Would be nice to start with autoX first. As of now, I can't even get another smart owner to autox with me.

You were impressed by the 'first guy'? I didn't make it to the second driver, but I thought the first guy was horrible.
