Turbocharged Headers Equipped SMART car.. a Vicious Screamin' Cow

Turn up the volume.. pay attention.. no fast forwarding as I got a surprise at the end ;) Enjoy!

Currently building a "Stage 3" kit to go with the SFR turbocharger which would include a water to air intercooler setup.

Cheers!
Larry

Actually with the headers I did; without the cat everything was running much cooler and I could change the ignition timing to gain more power and run slightly higher boost

Once I get the water to air intercooler setup running I'll have it strapped down to a dyno and see what it can do ;)

Haha yea.. it depends on how you define "cool". For me it would be to push the shifter into "N" and then pull the e-brake on my first attemp to skid ;)... I've done a 180 so far haha..

Gilbert yes as the title said, this is the first nor cal turbocharged smart car, headers installed with no cat, as you said.. runs cooler and better as now I was able to advance ignition timing and increase boost.

My check engine light isn't on because I did a little trick to the O2 sensor setup. I still have them both plugged into the headers though but no light.

Now that you mention it... I do hear it haha... That happens every so offen as I'm not done tuning the car.. it's excessive fuel being burnt as it leave the combustion chamber and out the exhaust. I didn't notice it because usually there's a fireball that shoots out of the bottom of the car when it does do that and usually it sounds much more louder like a gun shot going off. ;)

Larry, that Idea I told you about worked?

It worked on mine, I am running the full long tube header and right out the bottom. it is now the LOUDEST ever. I will post some vid.
