Hey Mendo, actually yea, the "idea" worked! Thanks! sorry forgot to give you credit.

To be specific, I took your idea and crafted it out of my idea and... your mind plus my mind equals.. KABOOM! I used those.. uh.. u know the "HELP!" spare parts section in the auto stores? There are these spark plug anti foulers that have the same thread length as the O2 bungs so I took two... drilled one out... took the O2 sensor and plugged it into the drilled out one.. then put both of them into the non drilled out one and into the header. So the heat is there but the gas isn't... so far so good! I'll post pictures later.. ;)

But man... full long tube headers? I KNOW what that sounds like HAHAA... Starlord (Chris) has just the doug thorley headers on his car and no exhaust... his first generation DTH exhaust cracked when I was installing his DTH headers so now we're waiting for the exhaust to be sent back up but mean while he's driving around with just freaking headers.. LOL it's SOOO LOUD! hahaha...

His car compared to mines.. he has all the VROOM VROOM with the go that goes ... putt putt....

Larry

I also got the engine damper figured out too. I got one on my car now, no interior noise transfer, good motion reduction.

I will get a pic of that up after I build a nicer looking bracket.

Gilbert yes as the title said, this is the first nor cal turbocharged smart car, headers installed with no cat, as you said.. runs cooler and better as now I was able to advance ignition timing and increase boost.

My check engine light isn't on because I did a little trick to the O2 sensor setup. I still have them both plugged into the headers though but no light.

Bad guy's in North Cal they Did it again...Did you dyno it now how much you get...Oh by the way you got software to do the advance timing....

Hey Gilbert, did you mean to ask me how did I get the software to do the advance timing? It's actually part of the SplitSec box that is the piggy back ECU with the turbo kit. I didn't dyno it yet but I will once I get the water to air intercooler setup that I designed into the car.

I just took this video of the car peaking at 15.8 PSI of boost, running it on average of 12-13 PSI on the freeway and had it running like this for the last 5000 miles. I've had it at higher boost, got it to "denotate", make the car go into limp home mode and all that crazy stuff but very surprised to see how well the stock engine, transmission and manual held up through all my abuse

Enjoy! If you guys want to watch it, I think the quality is better and larger on the actual youtube sight. It was recorded in HD.

I wouldn't try that if I was out of gas!

Or if the Check Engine light was on

Did you just copy and paste what babybenz said earlier? LOL Your post is like word for word exactly what he said. And if you really had a SMART car you'll realize that you can't flip the smart, even if you pull the ebrake... all it'll do is slide due to the low center gravity of this car =P.. Trust me I tried, even on the race track.

The only way you'll flip it is if you hit something, but other then that you'll just slide around. The car seriously understeers so you can't even get enough cornering momentum to suddenly get the car to flip. The Brabus edition however oversteers...

Then you wouldn't be a good candidate to turbocharge your car or try somethign new

The car had less then a gallon left but it also meant the car was lighter, I rather actually try it at that time then try it after I filled up gas But then again I did do it

The check engine light was no biggie, check engine light doesn't mean you can't drive your car hard. The check engine light could mean a million things and in my case it was because I don't have my CAT installed on the car and I didn't get a chance to do any work around for it. So no biggie.. One time I've driven around with a whole bunch of lights on.. headlights, check engine light, SRS airbag light and low tire pressure.. bet if you were in the passenger seat you'll have a heart attach with all my lights on haha But no seriously, thanks for caring but the check engine light really isn't anything, should have put a black tape over it for yoU
