Babybenz, you are absolutely correct.. it is A LOT of fuel! haha.. But it's the amount of fuel needed to achieve my first goal of 200 whp, about 230 engine hp. Since we only have 3 cylinders I needed a large injector... I had to lower the pressure since max fuel trim from the ECU and the min pulse width opening of the injector sprays too much fuel into the engine.
I was able to get it to run under boost and wide open throttle just fine but idling, cruising and starting was an issue. I tried different methods such as a deadhead regulator and what not but at the end I had to convert it to a return style fuel system to get it to run correctly. But it runs great! I'm glad I have a large enough turbo to achieve my goal and there's no sign of turbo lag neither as boost comes on almost instantly when I get on the throttle.
I haven't run 110 octane yet but I have run it with 100 octane which allows me to bump it up to 19-20 psi without the engine knocking. The turbo is good for up to 23 psi. With the 19-20 psi on 100 octane I didn't tune the car correctly, I'm opening for good or bad that.. now that I got it tuned 90%, when I fill it up with 100 octane I'm hoping to be able to get pass 20 psi without pre ignition or knocking.
Currently at 91 octane I can safely run 14 psi... in the past I've done 15+ but that's because my intake air temp was like 150 degrees, now that I brought it down to average no more then 100 degrees, a lot more VOLUME of air is going into the engine since it's so much cooler! So even though the boost number is less, the power is greater.
The picture below shows my 550 cc injectors on the left, and 440 cc next to it... both bosch style lucas disc type injectors (great spray pattern with the lucas disc), then the denso style 290 cc injectors sourced from the Nissan 350z that came with the SFR turbo kit and the last one on the right is our tiny factory injectors from SMART that came with the car
You were the one that put together your own turbo right? How's that coming along?

I briefly saw your thread and saw how quick you put it together, much props to you!
