Newsletter Vol 11

I was told by the director of communication for PAG today that the next newsletter will come out the first week of December or possibly as late as Dec 10. They are trying to finalize dealerships so that they can announce them in the December newsletter.

What happened to November? I'm really disappointed with the LACK of information and the website not being updated at all.

November is gone, Brian....fuggedaboutit! LOL They have been busy as hell I am sure. This is a pretty large marketing operation and the first time anything like this has ever been done, I believe, in this manner anyway. I think the whole thing has not gone that bad, although at times lack of info has been the norm but we don't know about what has to happen behind the scenes, either. They have to keep the ship upright thru this all.....
That update that was just posted last nite (forget the fella's name who contacted Smart).... tells me that things are going just fine.

I can be as cool as a cucumber. I'm sure there is a lot going on behind the scenes at smart that we don't know about.

My problem is how they had us all sign-up to receive "insider" information and have completely dropped the ball on their end. We've gotten only a monthly newsletter that was skipped in November???

It only takes their website master to work on the site for a few hours a month. We have gotten NO new information for approx. 2 months now. Everything we hear about on this forum may not be accurate and I like to hear from the horses mouth. It's only good customer service to maintain and honor what you profess to your customers.

I missed the roadshow when it came to my town. I'm an "Insider" and so far it hasn't gained me anything. I too would appreciate a bit more information. Hopefully this month we will learn a lot more information. I'm looking forward to it! I hope that things smooth out and we get an updated USA Smart website, a new USA 2008 brochure, a list of USA Smart dealers, and a new newsletter. I know I'm asking a lot. Oh well.

I have sent three to the "contact us" asking about DRLs and they have not acknowledged any of them

I've got to admit I'm getting pretty nervous about Penske and Smartusa.

The total lack of attention and responsiveness to prospective customers has been dismal and they haven't even delivered one vehicle yet. What will it be like once they make the sale. If the honeymoon is this bad I fear what it will be like after the wedding. That two year warranty really may be a problem.
