Adjusting the rear glass door.

Mine is off. Not sure how long it's been this way, but I've been reading through instructions on aligning the rear gate and now am on the rear glass door, and I'm a little stuck. They are e torx bolts, but I'm not sure the size. I don't think I can fit my e torx socket and wrench, so I'm hoping to order a e torx box wrench set, BUT I wish to verify it has the correct size, otherwise it will be a waste of money!

Here's a couple of pics of the situation:

(So the top of the rear glass black panel should be level with the top of the roof.)

Anyone know how to measure the e torx size???

Thank you so much!

I just loosened mine with a 8mm (12 point) box end wrench! Fits nicely.

If you want the special Torx wrench, I think the size on the hatch bolts is E-10. You may find ratcheting box end sets, as well.

Thank you!!! I found that exact set on Amazon for a tiny bit cheaper and used my parents' business account to get free 2 day shipping with another item to meet the $49 minimum. I'll let you know exactly which size fits. Should be here tomorrow. Saw a little drip in the trunk from all the rain we've been having. 😞

On a side note I'm not even sure how to align it because the downforce pressure from the Brabus spoiler has it warped, pressed down where the legs mount to it. Almost looks like it will eventually turn into a McDonald's logo....

I was looking for a birthday present for my wife quickly before I had to go pick my son up from school, when I checked and found they had delivered the wrenches!

I rushed home, opened them up, and rushed out to try. E-10. Man you're accurate!!!! Thank you so much again misfitsailor!!!!!

(I got the height, but did not loosen the other set of bolts to adjust more.....)

The E-10 can barely reach the hidden bolts, but with patience and effort I got the 4 bolts loose. My panel under the spoiler could be adjusted by loosening the bolts connecting it to the "frame". It wasn't warped after all. Very happy with the results!
