Fuel tank over-fill: symptoms
Yesterday, I think I experienced the symptoms of an over-filled fuel tank.
I try to follow the recommendations: use the auto shut off pumps, don't top off the tank manually.
I think I inadvertently overfilled the system.
Here are the symptoms I experienced:
1. hard bucking gear changes, in both the auto and the manual mode
2. strange revs- take foot off the gas, and tach revs don't fall as normal, the revs seem to "pulse" up and down. revs eventually drop off, but not like normal...higher than normal idle speed (according to scanguage)...
3. unexpected stall at a red light (never had a stall, ever)
4. no engine warning lights, no other dash indicators
later in the evening, after about 20 miles of driving, and a period of parking, all these symptoms seemed to disappear...vanish...the car now behaves normally.
what do you all think?
does it sound like I experienced an overfill?
