I could easily rendezvous in Elijay, GA if that happens to be along your path (I assume the course is up 575 which would take you through there). I don't want to add another stop to the itinerary, but I'd be willing to wait along the side of the road for a rolling hook up. Even better if someone wants to exchange numbers and give me a call when the caravan gets close. If anyone wants to do this just shoot me a PM.

If not, it's a long lonely drive to Robinsville for me .
I'm "sort of" in the same boat. I have to work, but would like to be on the side lines cheering you guys on, if timing works out.

Here's the anticipated route from the ATL to Robinsonville.

Have you guys ever taken 575 before? I'm thinking more around 6 or possibly 7PM before we arrive. The interstate drops down to a 65mph highway and then after a few miles 55mph. I thought I was never going to get home the other day when I left the dragon at 6PM and didn't get home until well past 11PM. Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up on that if you've never driven it before. Google Maps was off by at least an hour and a half over on time.

I'm looking at a map of Valdosta and having a hard time trying to identify Exit 2. I'll be coming in from the West on Highway 221, so I won't see any exit signs as I approach.

Is TA an abbreviation, or is that the actual name of the truck stop?
Is there a chance this truck stop is at the interchange of Hwy 221 and I-75 (that would be convenient. ) If not, can anyone provide the actual name & street address of the truck stop?

I guess I'll be joining the caravan at Valdosta, although catching it at Tifton would shave about 40 miles off my trip. Maybe I can just get to Tifton early and watch for my chance to join the parade?

NCC,
Exit 2 is at the 2 Mile Marker in Georgia while the exit you will come to on route 221 is Exit 16. It is about 14 miles north of where Bill has indicated we will meet. You could wait for us at 221 and try to join up with us or if you have a cell phone and provide it to Bill or I we could call you and let you know as we approach the exit 16 interchange.

If you would rather meet us at Tifton we could also call you to let you know when we are just South of Tifton and you could join up with us as we pass by.

Random thought (oops wrong thread): Name badges with SCOA handles & first names.

I found out today that I will most likely be having a co-pilot.Certain enough that I've doubled my reservation from the solo flight. This also means there will be a cell phone aboard, and my plan now is to jump into the caravan at Tifton, Georgia. I'll get the cell number to someone.

I'm thinking about picking up an FRS Radio too.

Hey Bill
When we talked at dinner last week you said you might be changing the stop in Atlanta. Is it still going to be the same or are we changing it to micros place?
