Sounds good to me. Little car for a little dragon.

2009

Talked to MB of W-S today. Not very encouraging news. She said that the reservation I made a week ago is looking like a two year delivery date. But to wait and get one that is backed out on when someone passes on their ordered SMART.

A little note on the Dragon we lost two MINIs when I was up there out of 400. One to a black bear in the middle of the road and another going over the edge.

Hi Smartfreak, welcome to the North Carolina thread! I have talked with the dealer in W-S also and I am in the same situation. I reserved Nov 24, so it looks like over a year wait. Guess we can save our money and pay cash instead of finance the car. I liked your video of Hwy 66. Will have to do it when the time comes. Also the Blue Ridge Parkway would be a nice day trip. ;)

I am in better shape on getting the little car. Sometime during the first half of 2008. Look forward to doing some road trips with a group of Smarts.

My dealership is just about ready.

Columbia, SC checking in

Greetings from Columbia...
And yeah, tail of the Dragon would be very cool, but the distraction factor might leave a mess...

Hello gbryers:

Orangeburg here...reserved in late March; I talked with a Baker Motor Rep (Charleston) yesterday. Several months before they open. He did not have any information.

Greetings from Columbia

I would hope that I don't have to go to Charleston for mine (whenever that is). South Charlotte is about half the distance. Either way, I am probably in for a long wait, having registered in late September (1360).

Welcome to the NC region Willie G

Did you know that a company in Mooresville is ordering glider cars from Smart (with no engine) and making an all electric Smart? They sold their first one through Sam's Club for about $35,000. They claim that Walmart/Sams will be selling them in the future. I hope a little cheaper though. I can buy a lot of gas for $18,000+-
