-1, -2 and Blinking Wrench??

I turned on my car yesterday, and instead of the odometer and trip odometer, it had a -1 and a wrench, then when I got back in to come home, it had a -2 and wrench. The car has 5600 miles on it.

WTF? Anyone know what this is?

You are at a Year since your car was activatied and it is telling you it wants to be serviced

Its a 10K or one year, what ever comes first.

Happy Birthday!!! Your car is a year old.

No maintenance required, just a recommendation from the manufacture that you take your car to the dealer.

resetting the indicator

Hope this link helps too.

Well, there is a school of thought that smart calls for the oil change at 10K miles or one year, whichever comes first.

1 day past 2 days past.
It will add a number every day past the recomendation. So is you show up at your service center with it flashing -300 they will know you have ignored it for quite some time

Just had a thought. (I know, rare indeed) If you reset the indicator at the 1 year mark and say 5,000 miles, does it go on again at 10K miles , the 15K mark or just wait a year from when it was reset?? I never have problems going 10K in a years time but I was just curious.

It will reset for 10,000 mile or one year from the time of the reset
