10k Miles and Still Loving My smart!

What else can I say? I just got back from a 500 mile run and still love the car. I did develop a rattle in the right door but I'll find that sucker soon.

Make sure the seat belt buckle isn't jostling around. It took me awhile to figure that one out.

SBibbo, comfortable after a long drive? I'm planning on driving to SC and back this Fall, wondering how I'll ho;d up! BTW, put your marker on the NJ / PA map so we don't forget you for our next Smart picnic!

Nice,

1st I have read about a 08 smart reaching 10k.

I have heard a rattle before especially over a good highway bump, but then I keep forgeting to investigate for the location.

Just made me think of something I need to check out.
The fold down door/hatch, a few weeks ago, I leaned forward on mine, and noticed some play, when I pushed in and out, I heard a slight metal contact/click at the latch. I believe the seal is what keeps it out and tight. I have not looked into in detail yet and not sure if there is any ajustment in the latch area. Maybe its the rattle I have heard before.

Happy safe driving to the next 10k!!

I was really surprised at just how comfortable I was. I'm 6'1" and weigh 260lbs and was just smiling the whole time. Up in MA, there are some hills that were a pain but overall the drive was fine. I stopped in Norwalk, CT for food (didn't need gas!) and they stared at me like I was an alien.

Nope, this is wind related and only occurs at speeds over 60. I was hoping it was just a loose door panel but it's something inside the door. I'm just a bit reluctant to pop the panel clips just yet.

Turned 7000 miles this morning and still lovin' it. It's 3 months old. No problems and still getting lots of curiosity from everyone.

I've got a right door rattle on bumpy roads. Any speed. Next month I should pop the panel off as I also blew the factory speaker. Darn loud exhaust made me turn the radio up.
