I'm pretty sure I used this one.

Seeing as how my last 3 cars have had over 200,000 on them when I sold or traded them in, I average 30,000+ miles a year, and I'm currently en route to 40,000 miles this year, I'm pretty sure that I'll have the car for the 100,000 miles. And if for some reason it doesn't, prepaid maintenance can be sold back at a pre-rated amount.

Just got my 20K service. $250 and I did my own oil change before I went in. Got the 2.0 upgrade and the new battery. Shifts a lot faster now with less jerky behavior.

I did my own oil change a few weeks ago, I figured I rather do it early then when it was due (in the middle of winter) Last think I want to be doing is laying in the snow doing an oil change.

Just had my 10k ("A") service at Cherry Hill (NJ) smart (Mercedes):

Perform service 1.2 hrs @ $99.96 = $117.60
Oil Filter $12.60
Seal Ring $2.70
Mobil 1 - 4 quarts @ $8.34 $33.36
MINUS dealer email coupon 15%
-$17.64 labor
- $7.30 parts

Total - $141.32 PLUS NJ sales tax

Note-
they did NOT change engine air filter - I have K&N
they did NOT change cabin air filter - they claimed that is B service (20k miles)

According to smart USA Owners Portal - Maintenance Schedule

The cabin air filter is supposed to be every 10,000 miles, but the engine air filter is only every 20,000. I'm 95% certain that my maintenance book says the same. Just an FYI.

They do usually wash cars that are serviced - BUT will not wash my smart because of the windup-key !!

While I was at the dealer yesterday getting my car serviced (passenger door lockset replacement and driver side signal replacement), I enquired about the cost of the first service (I'm at 8k right now). I was told "It's expensive, around 240 bucks." I asked what was done for that price.

He said, "Oil and filter change, cabin filter change, load test the battery, visual check of everything" I said, "That's it ? For 240 bucks !?!" He added, "well, they rotate your tires, also." I laughed. He caught himself. "Well, okay, not on a smart." I countered, "I can do all that myself, the oil change is what, 7 bucks a quart times 4 ? Oil filter is less than 20 bucks, cabin filter is around 40. So for less than 100 bucks in parts, you are gonna charge me 240 ?" He said, "The smart uses 7 quarts of oil." Again, I laughed. "It's a three cylinder engine !!"

I was thinking about letting them do the first service, "just because", but at that jack up, I'm having second thoughts.
