#1215 got the "30 days" e-mail 02-01!

We got the "...your smart fortwo is scheduled to arrive in the United States within the next 30 days..." e-mail yesterday! So for those of you doing stats, reserved 04-30 and confirmation late October (guessing the 25th; it was just before our computer took a dump on the 27th).
And yes, we're taking it - black/black/black, fogs/comfort/alarm - no orphan here!
Now - what accessories? Hmmmm...

Congrats, I reserved 30 days before you and haven't heard anything about delivery. I guess what everyone has been talking about is true your reservation number means nothing as to when you get your car. smartusa is doing load balancing across the nation which will make some people very unhappy.

I am a 1181 in Chicago with no 30-day delivery email or dealer call. I have talked to my dealer, Loeber Motors in Lincolnwood, today when I stopped by their Smart Center. Billy Cooper (yes, a Cooper selling Smart Cars) told me that they have been told that each dealer is getting about an equal number of cars. Effectively, your reservation means little if your area had a high number of reservations ahead of you. Therefore, areas such as Wisconsin may be gettting cars for higher reservation numbers since they did not have a high initial volume so as the car distributed about equally among the dealers, a Wisconsin dealer is reaching into the higher reservations numbers. I wish PAG had given a little priority to the earlier reservation numbers in lieu of trying to load level among the dealers.

30 day notice !

1176 here and just received our 30 day "on the boat" message yesterday.

Now I wonder, where did that old U-Boat go that I used to see tied up at the dock in Detroit ? ("Loose Lips Sink Ships")

A2Jack.

Holy Caca! I'm not ready! Actually now I think this makes up my mind about selling my current car. Might as well start posting it for sale. Anybody intersted in a Mercedes SLK with 28k miles for $19k? Still has 2 years on warranty!
